Uzumaki Revolving Sushi (Formerly Uzu Sushi) in Rockville, MD: The Most Fun Sushi Night in MoCo, and the Best All-You-Can-Eat Tier
Seven plate colors from $3.99 to $9.99, a bullet train that brings your order to the table and three all-you-can-eat tiers: the most fun way to eat sushi in Rockville, MD, at Uzumaki Revolving Sushi (formerly UZU Revolving Sushi) at Congressional Village, and the best tier for you.

Uzu Sushi is an IVEA restaurant. We publish this story to introduce our own restaurant; it is not an independent review.
Uzumaki Revolving Sushi is a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant at 1701 Rockville Pike, Suite A6, in The Shops at Congressional Village in Rockville, MD. It opened as UZU Revolving Sushi, with a soft opening in November 2024, and now goes by Uzumaki Revolving Sushi. Bethesda Magazine reported that it seats about 100. It is one of the most fun places to eat sushi in Montgomery County, and its own line sums it up best: "Sushi in motion. Revolving sushi, bullet-train delivery, and something for everyone."
How it works. The best part is that there is no waiting for a server. Sit down at the belt and take any plate you like as it goes by. Anything you do not see, order on the tablet at your table or by QR code, and it arrives on the bullet train, the most impressive part of the room, a delivery lane that runs straight to your seat. When you are done, staff scan your stack of plates and you pay.
Know your plate colors. The color of the plate is the price: White Cosmo $3.99, Pink Sakura $4.99, Green Wave $5.99, Red Drunken $6.99, Yellow Stream $7.99, Purple Infinite $8.99 and Black Tornado $9.99, the most expensive plate on the belt.
The best plates to grab. Salmon nigiri is on a $3.99 plate. For local flavor, try the Oyster with Ikura and Ponzu, made with Blackberry oysters from Virginia, or the Chesapeake Smoked Salmon with Caviar, both $4.99. Seared A5 Wagyu Brisket nigiri and Blue Fin Tuna Toro are $7.99 for two pieces. Among the signature rolls, the I-270 Roll with salmon and mango is $5.99, the Uzumaki Roll and Godzilla Roll are $6.99, and the 24k Magic Roll with gold leaf and black caviar is $8.99.
The most luxurious plates: Black Tornado. The $9.99 Uzumaki Specials sit outside every all-you-can-eat tier: Blue Fin Tuna Toro with Foie Gras and Truffle Pearl, Blue Fin Tuna Toro with Uni and Caviar, Seared A5 Wagyu Brisket with Foie Gras and Black Truffle, Seared American Wagyu Chuck Roll with Uni and Ikura, and a Wagyu Uni and Caviar Tartare.
All-you-can-eat: the best tier for you. There are three tiers, and everyone at the table picks the same one. Genin, $35, covers the $3.99 and $4.99 plates. Chunin, $45, covers $3.99 to $6.99 plates. Jonin, $65, covers $3.99 to $8.99 plates. Each is a 90-minute meal, drinks and desserts are not included, and plates outside your tier or food left over are charged at regular prices. If you will eat more than about eight plates in the $4.99 to $6.99 range, Chunin is usually the best value; Jonin pays off only if you are going after the Wagyu and toro.
Before you go. Hours are Sunday to Thursday noon to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday noon to 9:45 p.m. The phone number is (240) 669-8684. Takeout is available through the restaurant's own ordering site and the delivery apps. The neighbors at Congressional Village include Kajiken, Okaeri Japanese Cafe and Kanpai, which makes it easy to turn dinner into a Japanese food crawl.
