MUI Supper Club is an IVEA restaurant. We publish this story to introduce our own restaurant; it is not an independent review.

MUI Supper Club now has its permanent sign up at 967 Rose Ave. at Pike & Rose in North Bethesda and expects to open in November. It takes the space of The Block food hall, which closed in 2024.

The menu centers on A5 wagyu, omakase and theatrical tableside dining, mixing traditional Japanese technique with modern presentation, with some dishes from a robata grill. Planned dishes include A5 wagyu tartare with caviar, Wagyu Niku Kappo with a tabletop binchotan stone, and a 72-hour koji-aged A5 tomahawk. The most dramatic is the Hot Rock Experience: wagyu, otoro, prawn and foie gras on a 700-degree volcanic stone, which is the best pick for a first visit.

MUI will also offer a limited membership with yearly tiers from $1,000 to $5,000, with priority reservations, private dining, off-menu dishes and members-only events depending on the tier. Once open, it will run Tuesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and close Sundays and Mondays.
